    In this short course, psychologist Sarah Lewis shows how coaching conversations can support your training and development goals and demonstrates key techniques and strategies through a series of dramatised conversations.

      Explore how the roles of manager and coach often overlap and how you can use coaching methods to get the very best out of your team.

        Leader as Coach training focuses on developing the skills and mind set of a coach.

        This course will look at the complexity of the leader and managers role, different mindsets, assumptions and behaviours before explore the principles and practice of coaching. Participants will develop confidence in using their coaching and questioning skills within their role as to raise awareness and build responsibility in staff for their own performance.

        Aberdeen City Council staff can attend this course for free. Partner organisation staff should check any costs with the People Development team and get approval from their line manager before booking.
