Employees have the right to work in an environment which promotes dignity and respect, and a culture which is safe, healthy, fair, and aligned with the Council’s Guiding Principles. Our Dignity and Respect policy was revised in March 2022 and aims to ensure that our workplace is free from inappropriate behaviour such as bullying, harassment, discrimination, or abuse. All Managers should work to create and sustain this working environment and must complete this eLearning module, refreshing their knowledge and understanding as any changes are implemented.

It is expected that you update your knowledge and understanding of this policy upon any changes to it as per the policy review cycle.

This interactive eLearning will equip you with the knowledge and tools to meet those responsibilities confidently and effectively. You'll also be signposted to a range of policies, processes and useful contacts. This eLearning module takes roughly 30 minutes to complete.

This module, developed by the NHS, is designed to help you to be better able to support the mental health of employees and to encourage good practice in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. We recommend all managers complete this module and refresh their learning on a regular basis.
